A 14 Freeway brush fire was quickly halted by firefighters Wednesday.
The brush fire, dubbed the Copper Fire was first reported around 3:45 p.m. as a vehicle fire on the northbound 14 Freeway near Escondido Canyon Road in Agua Dulce, said Esteban Benitez, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The vehicle fire spread to the surrounding brush, according to officials.
As of 4 p.m., the brush fire is at 1.5 acres with forward progression stopped.
