A brush fire in Acton was quickly halted by firefighters Thursday afternoon.

Around 2:15 p.m. Thursday, firefighters responded to a brush fire in the 5500 block of Soledad Canyon Road in Acton, said Kaitlyn Aldana, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Forward progression of the fire was halted at a half acre, according to Aldana.

No structures were threatened, and no injuries were reported.
