The Bear Trap Fire broke out near Aliso Canyon Road in Acton Tuesday but was quickly knocked down, officials said.
The brush fire, dubbed the Bear Trap Fire, was first reported to firefighters around 11:40 a.m. on the 30400 block of Aliso Canyon Road in Acton which is part of the Angeles National Forest, said Leslie Lua, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
As of 12 p.m., first responders reported the fire was at a quarter acre, according to Lua.
The fire was burning in medium fuels with no structures threatened, according to Fire officials.
Shortly after crews were on scene they were able to have the fire held to one acre, according to officials.
