A brush fire was quickly extinguished by firefighters Thursday afternoon in Valencia.

At around 12:26 p.m. Thursday, first responders received reports of a brush fire near The Old Road and Magic Mountain Parkway, according to Franklin Lopez with the L.A. County Fire Department.

“We were dispatched at 12:26 p.m. and arrived on scene at 12:38 p.m. It looked like a pretty small fire,” Lopez said.

The fire was approximately 20 by 20 (feet) in size and has since been knocked down as of 12:30 p.m.

As a result of the fire, both directions of The Old Road have been temporarily blocked off, impacting traffic.
