One person has been detained in connection with the Dry Fire in Castaic, which has prompted a response from firefighters Wednesday.
The brush fire, dubbed the Dry Fire, was first reported around 1 p.m. on Lake Hughes Road and Dry Gulch Road northeast of Castaic, said Henry Narvaez, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“A person reported seeing fire in the middle of the lake while fishing,” Narvaez said.
One person has been detained in connection with the fire, pending additional investigation, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
As of 1:10 p.m. the fire is currently at about one acre, according to officials.
