First responders got the call about a fire shortly before 2 a.m. Saturday near Oak Springs Canyon Rd.
A first alarm brush response was called, and firefighters rushed to attack the blaze before it grew.
“It looks like light grass and medium brush,” said Inspector Michael Pittman with the Los Angeles County Fire Department. “Looks like the first alarm response can handle it.”
As of 3 a.m., residents are still reporting at least one helicopter circling the area.
No structures were threatened by the fire and no injuries have been reported.
