The fatal blaze was reported at 2:48 p.m. at the Hasley Canyon Mobile Estates near the 30000 block of Hasley Canyon Road, according to Randall Wright, inspector with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“Our engine company 143 reported a fully involved double-wide home,” said Wright. “Units requested an ambulance for reports (of) a possible victim inside the home.”

The victim inside the home was pronounced dead on scene, said Gustavo Medina, inspector with the LACoFD.

Firefighters declared the blaze knocked down at 3:20 p.m., officials confirmed.

The incident is being investigated as a possible arson with fire officials investigation, said Medina.

  1. Bless this family. We are watching this as it unfolds. The deceased is our neighbor. RIP!!!

  2. My name is Glenda Yakel, the woman found dead in her mobile home was Jeanne Miller, other of 3 and grandmother of 3 as well. She was disabled with MS and had been for a while. What can we as a community do to help this family. I am heartbroken and devistated for the entire family and I only pray she went quickly.

  3. I, along with many others, were high school classmates of Jeanne and we were all in the marching band. We had wonderful memories of our times performing together.
Can we set up a gofundme page to help the family?

Please help this family as they lost everything in the fire. Including loss of their mother. Any donation helps.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
