The roof of a McDonald’s in Valencia caught fire Wednesday, hours after repairs were made.
Around 5:20 p.m. Wednesday, firefighters received reports of a commercial structure fire at the McDonald’s in the 23000 block of Valencia Boulevard in Valencia, said Justin Yang, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“First arriving units found smoke and fire coming from the roof of a local restaurant,” Yang said. “Restaurant personnel stated roof repairs were done a few hours prior to the incident.”
The fire caused damage to the roof and decking and light smoke filled the interior of the McDonald’s, Yang said.
The Valencia McDonald’s was closed until further notice.
There were no injuries to patrons or firefighters during this incident, Yang confirmed.
