A fatal 5 Freeway crash impacted Santa Clarita traffic Friday morning, officials said.

The crash was reported at about 5:15 a.m. Friday on the southbound 5 Freeway near the 405 interchange in Granada Hills, according to Officer Eric Priessman with California Highway Patrol.

“The person sustained fatal injuries at the scene,” Priessman said.

The 5 Freeway crash involved four vehicles, according to CHP officials.

Two additional victims were transported to the hospital, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department

All lanes were closed during the investigation but were reopened at about 7:30 a.m. Friday, according to the CHP.
