A man was killed in the early hours of Sunday after being struck by a vehicle while on a busy road in Canyon Country.
At around 12:46 a.m. Sunday first responders received reports of an accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian, according to supervisor Bernard Peters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
First responders were called to the scene at Soledad Canyon Road and Sierra Highway but did not transport anyone to the hospital as the man was declared dead upon arrival.
The driver who hit the man remained on scene and called first responders, according to Deputy Natalie Arriaga with the SCV Sheriff’s Station.
“No drugs or alcohol seem to be a factor but toxicology is still pending,” said Arriaga.
The identity of the man killed has not been released as of the publication of this article.
