One person was transported to the hospital following a Newhall crash on Railroad Avenue Monday, officials said.

Reports were received around 11:08 a.m. of a traffic collision at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Lyons Avenue in Newhall, according to Leslie Lua with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“We received the call at 11:08 and were on scene at 11:09,” Lua said. “It was a collision involving two vehicles.”

At least one patient was transported to the hospital via AMR ambulance, according to officials on scene.

The condition of the patient is unknown as of Monday morning.

Traffic in the area had slowed as a result of the crash, with both southbound lanes of Railroad Avenue blocked at Lyons Avenue for an unknown duration as of 11:40 a.m.
