One person was hospitalized and a dog was transported to a local shelter after a solo-vehicle crash into a tree Monday, officials said.
The incident was reported at about 10:30 a.m. Monday on the 38000 block of Golden State Highway in the Angeles National Forest north of Castaic, according to Leslie Lua, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“It was a solo vehicle into a tree,” Lua said.
Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control was requested to the scene, but firefighters with Engine 149 were able to transport the injured dog to a local animal shelter, according to Lua.
The conditions of the driver and animal are unknown as of Monday morning, according to Fire officials.
