One Killed In Acton Hit-And-Run, CHP Seeks Witnesses

A woman was killed in an Acton hit-and-run early Saturday morning, and officials with the California Highway Patrol are seeking anyone who may have witnessed the incident.

At about 2 a.m. Saturday, CHP officers responded to a traffic collision on Crown Valley Road just south of Soledad Canyon Road in Acton, according to a social media post from the CHP – Antelope Valley Office.

“Preliminary information indicates, an adult female was walking southbound on the west dirt shoulder of Crown Valley, just south of Soledad Canyon, when she was struck by a possible white vehicle,” the post reads.

As a result of this collision, the female sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to CHP officials.

Following the traffic collision, the suspect who allegedly struck the woman fled the scene southbound on Crown Valley Road, CHP investigators said.

“A small white sedan with a large spoiler on the rear of the vehicle was seen leaving the scene of the traffic collision,” the post said.

This investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Antelope Valley California Highway Patrol Office at (661) 948-8541 or contact CHP dispatch 24/7 at (323) 259-3200.
