Several people were injured and one person was trapped in their vehicle following a crash in Saugus Wednesday afternoon.

Around 3:10 p.m. Wednesday, first responders received reports of a four-vehicle traffic collision with persons trapped near Wellston Drive and Bouquet Canyon Road in Saugus, said Kaitlyn Aldana, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“It was a traffic collision with a patient trapped,” Aldana said. “The patient was extricated and transported at 3:43.”

A second patient was also transported to the hospital at 3:45 p.m.

A total of three ambulances were requested to respond to the crash, however, it is unknown how many others were transported to the hospital by alternate means, according to officials.

Bouquet Canyon Road was completely blocked and crews rendered aid to the patients and cleared the wreckage.
