A crash involving an overturned big rig has impacted 5 and 14 Freeway traffic Wednesday morning.

Around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, first responders received reports of a big rig that overturned in the truck route on the southbound 5 Freeway near the 210 Freeway, according to Officer Josh Greengard, spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol, (CHP) Newhall Area Office.

As a result of the crash, all lanes in the truck route on the southbound 5 Freeway are closed, with traffic being diverted to the main line of the 5 Freeway, according to Greengard.

Crews are working to get the big rig back on it’s wheels and the truck route is expected to be re-opened by 2 p.m.
