An overturned car on the 5 Freeway sent one person to the hospital Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
Around 12:30 p.m., the Los Angeles Fire Department received reports of a traffic collision with possible parties trapped on the northbound 5 Freeway at Roxford Street, said Margaret Stewart, a spokesperson for the department.
“We transported one patient to the hospital,” Stewart said.
Initial reports indicate the white SUV overturned after a big rig swerved in front of the vehicle, according to California Highway Patrol logs.
The condition of the person transported is currently unknown, according to Fire officials.
As of 1:15 p.m., the California Highway Patrol has no lanes blocked, according to the Traffic Management Center.
