The pedestrian who died after being struck by a vehicle in a fatal San Francisquito crash Tuesday morning has been identified.
Tony Campos, 40, a transient, was the individual who died in the fatal collision, said Kelly Vail, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
Around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, first responders received reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian on San Francisquito and Spunky Canyon Roads in Green Valley north of Santa Clarita, said Howard Tieu, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department in a kat the time of the crash.
When crews arrived on scene, they located Campos who was pronounced dead on arrival, according to officials.
The crash is being investigated by the Antelope Valley California Highway Patrol (CHP) Area Office.
