A pedestrian was struck and killed Friday night on the 5 Freeway in Valencia 

Around 10:30 p.m. on Friday, first responders received reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian on the northbound 5 Freeway near Valencia Boulevard at the overpass, according to officials with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) . 

The pedestrian was pronounced dead on arrival, according to officials. 

A Sig Alert for the No.3 and 4 lanes was issued at 11:18 p.m. and was cleared at around 1 a.m., added officials.
