After reportedly being struck by a vehicle, a pedestrian was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition, according to witnesses on scene.
At 7:31 p.m. firefighters reported a traffic collision involving a pedestrian on Sierra Highway near Sandy Drive in Canyon Country, according to officials.
“The squad came upon the incident,” said Melanie Flores, a dispatch supervisor for the Los Angeles County Fire Department. “Squad 107 reported the vehicle versus pedestrian at (7:31 p.m.)”
According to witnesses, the pedestrian was taken by an AMR ambulance.
Paramedics did not assist in the transport of the patient, according to officials.
“If the squad doesn’t follow the ambulance, the injuries may be minor,” Flores said.
At this time, there is no official word on the condition of the patient.
