One person was trapped in their vehicle as a result of a rollover crash on the 14 Freeway near Golden Valley Road Thursday afternoon, prompting officials to close all lanes on the northbound side.

Just before 12:20 p.m. Thursday, officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department received reports of an expanded traffic collision on the northbound 14 Freeway near Golden Valley Rd.
“There is one patient trapped,” said Marvin Lim, spokesperson for the department. “They are currently being extricated.”
All lanes of the northbound 14 Freeway were shut down as a result of the incident, with officials diverting traffic to Golden Valley Road as first responders worked to clear the scene.
The victim, described as an adult female, was transported to a local hospital in “serious condition,” according to Fire officials.
All lanes of the northbound 14 freeway were reopened by 1:40 p.m. Thursday.

Cell phone driving, or just another Idiot?!?!
That is extremely rude and insensitive. That was my sister. Did you not read that is said in serious condition? Ignorant.
Sorry to read about your sister! Hope she’s OK, but, Not, rude or insensitive, if, she was risking others lives, a lot of emergency services, if, she was on the damn cell phone!!

No cell phone. It was a tire problem & she was going fast.
“Going too fast” A malady that has been spreading for quite awhile everywhere…Anyone driving the 14 knows the average speed is 80+ mph, with 90’s and 100’s not uncommon. The causation is a combination of arrogant drivers with no common sense and lax enforcement.
U guys are sweet thank you I am alive been driving 13 years n never been in a crash besides that day. Didn’t even have a cell phone on me. No music playing. And yes I was going 85 maybe 90 and had been crying. Only had that car a couple days and the steering wheel and brakes and alignment weren’t very good even after I put new brakes and rotors. Prolly wasn’t good I had just got knocked around and thrown into a couple walls before I made it to my car to get away from that horrible experience I won’t ever forget, onto this next experience thank God I don’t remember. Call me stupid if u want but I’m gna call it more like blessed. If people really wanna say I’m stupid for something here’s a truthful fact, I wasn’t wearing a seatbelt in that accident. I am glad I didn’t hurt anyone else or put other people in danger God was definitely looking out for everyone around this vicinity. Today my dad got into a motorcycle crash and is in the same hospital on the same day of the week that pertains to my crash. Crazy guess we’re all just stupid idiotic plugged in Americans on our cellphones not caring if we put others at risk. He is coherent and don’t worry my friends he did not hurt someone besides his own self. Thank you again for all the concern. And I hope u think about these comments made the next time ur doing something wrong on the road because u will, everyone makes a mistake so just remember that.
