Second Drunk Driver In Three Months Crashes Into Back Of KHTS Radio

A drunk woman collided with a parked truck and shoved it into the back of KHTS Radio Wednesday, marking the second collision involving the building in three months.

Around 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, a vehicle was driving at a high rate of speed before colliding with a parked pick-up truck behind KHTS Radio on Railroad Avenue just north of Market Street in Newhall.

Due to the impact of the crash, the truck was shoved up a curb and into the back wall of the Radio Station.

The woman was arrested for DUI, according to officials.

“This is the second time a drunk person with high-risk insurance has slammed into our building within three months,” said Jeri Seratti-Goldman, owner of KHTS Radio.

On Friday, May 13, a vehicle collided with the back of KHTS while driving at a high rate of speed, heavily damaging the security gate and wall. The driver was determined to be under the influence.

  1. In a society that glorifies “getting your high on” what outcome did you think we would get? We need to above this stuff already. The amount of pot I smell coming from cars is ridiculous.

    • So you’re saying you were completely sober while writing a comment that has nothing to do with this article. Guess you don’t need alcohol or drugs when you’re already illiterate…

  2. In real estate the three most portent things are: Location, Location and Location.

  3. High risk insurance..
does that mean she a repeat offender ??

  4. It was Ben Dover’s mother she was pulling on a big bottle of vodka that day. I now regret buying it for her.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
