It’s been reported that it was teenage drunk driver.. If under 18 why were they out past curfew as well as drinking? I hope the parents will be held accountable if they’re under 18. This poor girl‘s life has just been ruined. Our town has gotten out of control with accidents and under age drinking . How many more families will have their lives ruined before someone will step in and hold these people accountable. The 21 yr old girl in 2017 killed a mother of 6 due to DUI . She only got 10 yrs. You take a life you should lose your freedom forever .
The Signal said a husband and wife were killed and a man was arrested for DUI. You have to look all around at these intersections, they are long signals and people stretch the Yellow lights.
I find it concerning that KHTS is not reporting that the driver is a HART teen who was allegedly under the influence. I’m sure the family of the teen influenced this station to leave that out of this reporting. If it were another teen from a not so influential family, the reporting would be different. The facts are that two people died at the hands of a reckless teen driver who can be seen taking a breathalyzer test in the video taken by Austin Dave. My condolences to all the families affected by this senseless tragedy.
UPDATE
The 17 yr old driver was arrested for DUI and vehicular manslaughter . He is currently at a facility in Downey and goes before the Judge tomorrow 2/11.
