A vehicle went over the side of the I-5 Freeway and landed near The Old Road in a Newhall crash that sent two people to the hospital Monday morning.

Around 10:50 a.m. Monday, emergency responders received reports of an overturned vehicle that went off the 5 Freeway near Weldon Canyon Road in Newhall, according to Leslie Lua with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“Our units arrived on scene and were able to locate the vehicle that was reported,” said Lua. “ (It was) one vehicle over the side, with a total of two patients.”

  1. I would like to let everyone my friend and the driver both survived. She was released today from hospital with multiple fractured bones and surgery on one of her legs. From what we heard he was released within a few days. She has a long road of recovery after her road trip back to Oregon but she is doing very good considering the circumstances. I would like any information on the person who made the 911 call we would love to give him a update on her and thank him!!
