Home security footage shows an unoccupied car slamming into the side of a home in Valencia.

Just before noon Friday, emergency responders received reports of a traffic collision involving a structure on the 28800 block of Coal Mountain Court in Valencia, according to Geovanni Sanchez, spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The homeowner had just laid down for a nap inside the home when a loud bang and home and car alarms blaring awoke him, according to a KHTS interview with his wife, Nancy Mejia.

Neighbors indicated that another resident at a nearby home had accidentally neglected to place her vehicle out of neutral while retrieving an item, resulting in the vehicle going off on a wild ride of its own.

No injuries were reported, though building and safety inspectors were called, according to Sanchez.
