Cold, Windy Conditions In Santa Clarita Valley Weather Forecast

Cold and windy conditions are in the Santa Clarita Valley weather forecast before temperatures warm up by the weekend.

A chance of showers and snow in the mountains is expected to continue in the Santa Clarita weather forecast Monday before conditions dry up through the week, said David Gomberg, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, (NWS).

“The threat of showers will diminish into tonight and things dry out,” Gomberg said. “Gusty off-shore winds are expected tomorrow with 35 to 45 mph gusts.”

Although conditions are drying out, nighttime lows are expected to remain in the mid to upper 30s through Wednesday night into Thursday, according to officials.

However, by Thursday afternoon temperatures in the Santa Clarita Valley weather forecast are expected to warm up into the mid-60s for the rest of the week, according to officials.

The NWS is tracking another small system for next weekend, however, as of Monday they are predicting that the rain will stay north of Los Angeles County, Gomberg said.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
