A more than 10-degree cooldown is in the Santa Clarita Valley forecast for later this week.
Conditions will be in the mid-90s on Tuesday. However, starting Wednesday, conditions are beginning to drop down into the mid-80s, said Lisa Phillips, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
Wednesday conditions are expected to see highs of 85, with slightly cooler conditions by Friday, according to Phillips.
It is possible by next Wednesday to see conditions only in the high 60s, according to officials.
Wednesday evening into Thursday, breezy conditions are expected in the I-5 Corridor, which could bring windy conditions into the Santa Clarita Valley.
Currently, there are no fire watches for the Santa Clarita Valley. However, a red flag warning is in effect for the mountains and foothills surrounding the area, according to Phillips.
