“Really windy” conditions are expected for the Santa Clarita weather forecast lasting through Wednesday, with only a short reprieve until kicking back up again on Friday.
Weather conditions through Wednesday morning are expected to remain gusty with wind speeds peaking at around 45 mph, said David Sweet, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
“It’s going to be really windy through Wednesday morning,” Sweet said.
Through late Tuesday evening, northern winds are expected to be between 30 to 40 mph, with winds increasing to around 45 mph early Wednesday morning, according to officials.
“By noon, winds will be calming,” Sweet said.
Despite the gusty conditions, as of Monday morning, there are no fire watches in place.
However, if a fire were to spark, the winds could pose a problem for firefighters, according to officials.
Temperatures are expected to be cooler “than normal,” with clear skies and temperatures in the low 60s according to Sweet
By Friday, another wind event is expected to return to Santa Clarita.
