The Music Makers PTA is preparing to give $35,000 to the Newhall School District in support of music programs.

The Newhall School District will be able to purchase about 90 new student instruments with the $22,690 they raised through donations and a Henry Mayo Foundation matching grant. The district is committed to offering music education for all students.

The Newhall School District will present their 2013 Spring Concerts at Wiley Canyon Elementary School on May 29 and 30 and June 4 and 5. Student orchestras and choruses from all the district schools will perform.
