“We got a call about 1:55 p.m.,” said Supervising Fire Dispatcher Michael Pittman. “Our unit arrived at 1:59 p.m.”
Because a big-rig was involved, two fire engines were dispatched to the fire, but when the first one arrived, first responders discovered that the fire had burnt itself out.
“The vehicle was reported out upon arrival of firefighters,” said Pittman. “It was reported to be a big-rig.”
The second engine was cancelled and the engine company stayed on scene to make sure the fire was out until 2:30 p.m.
There were no injuries, Pittman said, and the fire did not spread beyond the truck.
