Super Bowl Sunday is a peak day for bail agents because countless friends and families will come together for large gatherings and parties at houses, bars and restaurants, with alcohol often involved.
“Like on major holidays, alcohol tends to be a part of the celebrations on Super Bowl Sunday,” said Inessa Chavez, vice president of All American Bail Bonds in Santa Clarita. “If you’re going to be drinking alcohol– including beer –make sure you plan ahead and don’t drink and drive.”

Those who do drive after drinking not only risk being arrested and charged with driving under the influence, they are also risking their own safety and the safety of others on the road.
It’s not uncommon to see average residents arrested for a DUI on holidays or after major events like the Super Bowl, and it can happen to even the most responsible person because alcohol impairs thinking.

Chavez offered the following tips to help keep Santa Clarita residents safe and out of jail this Super Bowl Sunday:
- Designate a sober driver in advance.
- Have someone else to call if a designated driver plan falls through.
- Be prepared to call a cab, Uber driver or use other transportation services to get home.
- Always drink responsibly.
- Remember that buzzed driving is drunk driving.
“At All American Bail Bonds in Santa Clarita, we want the community to enjoy Super Bowl 50 from start to finish,” Chavez said. “You don’t want to end the day sitting in a jail cell, or worse.”
