All American Bail Bonds in Santa Clarita is one of the bail bonds businesses serving the valley and work with many of the people who post bail.
“We serve about 100 people every month,” said Inessa Chavez, vice president of All American Bail Bonds in Santa Clarita.
Depending on the bail amount that has been set by a judge, the person being bailed out would pay between eight and 10 percent of the bail bond.
“We write about $1.5 million a month through all of the seven offices under the All American Bail Bonds name,” said Jeff Chavez, president of All American Bail Bonds in Santa Clarita.
A bail amount is set by the arresting officer and can be changed by a judge at a bail hearing.
Every year, the Los Angeles County court system releases a bail schedule which acts as a guide for how much bail should be set at.
A variety of factors come into play when a law enforcement official or court official is setting a bail amount.
“It depends on prior convictions, recent law changes and a variety of other factors,” Inessa Chavez said. “But you always pay between eight and 10 percent of the bail amount to a bail bondsman.”
