The Hart District’s FRC Robotics Team 691 is hosting an elementary school robotics qualifying tournament on Saturday, November 12, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Rancho Pico Jr. High. The “Food Factor” themed competition will include 24 elementary and junior high schools competing toward the championships.
Students will come equipped for the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Lego qualifying tournament with robots ready for food safety challenges and a research project. High school student volunteers from the Hart District FRC 691 Robotics team will act as judges of both the robots’ capabilities and the students’ knowledge after their research.
