Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to a report of trespassing and possible burglary Tuesday night in Canyon Country.

The SCV Sheriff’s Station received a call about a trespasser jumping over a wall at a home on Nearbrook Street around 7:55 p.m., said Lt. Tom Bryski.

Deputies saw some movement inside the house and contained the perimeter, said Sgt. Shoemaker with the SCV Sheriff’s Station.

As of 9:05 p.m., one person, who appeared to be a juvenile was in custody, according to Sheriff’s station officials.

Several patrol units responded to the call as well as a helicopter.

Deputies had guns drawn while waiting for the suspect to come out.
