Families in Action: September 22, 2014

The latest episode of Families In Action was no less harrowing and heartful than every other episode. Cary Quashen and Bob Sharits immediately wanted to tackle a few serious ideas they have been focusing on. This Saturday is National Drug Take Back Day, and with that in mind, the Action Family Counseling duo chose to invite some of their friends from the Drug Enforcement Agency for some advice and comments on the recent national upswing of and advocacy of marijuana reform. However, what the media fails to document, are the facts which DEA Agents: Mike Lewis and Sarah Pullen fortunately know all too well. Sarah Pullen grabbed the mic as soon as she could to really put Colorado on target. The nation may be inundated with news clips, talking points and pictures of the new Colorado marijuana environment (which is in direct conflict with Federal law) but these sources never speak on the families truly affected by these massive changes. For example, since Colorado “legalized” marijuana, the number of adults, teenagers, and children have dramatically increased, and at an accelerating rate as well. Overdosing is completely preventable, and Sarah Pullen also says, “There is no health benefit marijuana has for anyone”.
