Creating the right sign for your storefront is one of the most important things you can do. A successful business has an iconic, well illuminated sign.

You can utilize standard channel letter signs, raceway mounted channel letter signs, or you can create and send contained lit shape signs, otherwise known as logo boxes.

Cabinet signs are also available but they are limited due to city permits. If your location has a cabinet sign already on the building, then those signs are grandfathered in. If you are in a location with no sign, and you are installing and fabricating a new sign, it will most likely have to be channel letter. Feathers Signs and Printing will check with the permit department of your city to ensure that your sign meets city regulations.

Individual Channel Letter Sign

The common name for individual storefront letters is channel letters. Channel letters can be front lit or back lit. Back lit illumination is also called Halo lit. These terms are interchangeable and you can use either term with Feathers Signs. We can show you proofs to show you how. a front lit sign would look. We can show you a proof to show you how a back lit or halo lit sign would look. We can even create signage that is both front lit and back lit!

Raceway Signage

Have you ever noticed a bar on the back of a sign?

If you have, then you noticed what we call a raceway. The raceway is a lightweight metal box that contains all of the electrical components of a sign.

This light weight box, or raceway, creates a single point of electrical installation, and effectively puts the sign in one piece. This creates a very efficient installation. The raceway is utilized when the building calls for it.

Depending on the type of wall, access to the roof, access to the drop ceiling etc., some buildings require a raceway sign in order for a smooth installation. When we are designing your sign, make sure that one of our sales representatives has taken a look at the building, or see if there are other signs in the shopping center with or without a raceway.

During the design process of a raceway channel letter sign, we can paint the raceway different colors or utilize the raceway as part of the design. The raceway can also be painted the same color as the building in order to disguise the raceway.

There have been locations in the past where Feathers has had to utilize brackets in order to install a raceway channel letter sign. This allows us to install almost anywhere on a building. If you have an angled roof, or a metal trellis, fear not, we will be able to install your channel letter sign using brackets.

Logo Boxes and Logo Signs

Feathers Signs and Printing and cut the channel letter sign to almost any size and shape. Because of this, we have been able to create logo signs. If you have a unique logo, we can use the shape to create a single box for your sign. We can also create a logo box and install it next to the name of your store. Logo boxes are very effective as they are visually pleasing and unique.
