Wilk Welcome Letter – 2016 KHTS Sacramento Road Trip

Scott Wilk - 2016 - KHTS Sacramento Road Trip

Hello KHTS Sacramento Road Trip Travelers,

Welcome to the 11th annual KHTS Sacramento Road Trip!

Since 2005 more than 600 community leaders have participated, like you, taking two precious days out of their busy work schedule to listen and learn from state leaders about the most important issues affecting Santa Clarita.

Carl’s vision was to allow Santa Clarita community leaders the opportunity to gain an understanding of those issues and to share what they learned on the trip with others. Ten years later, Santa Clarita Valley is still the only community doing anything like this and I am proud to continue the tradition.

I am pleased to announce that Mac Taylor, Legislative Analyst for the Legislative Analyst Office (LAO), will be our keynote speaker at Monday night’s reception. He will be sharing about his expertise on the state budget, intergovernmental issues, and his office’s role in advising the legislature on fiscal and policy issues.

If you are a returning participant on this trip, I know you will continue to gain new insights. For those joining us for the first time, you will have a memorable two days.

I’d like to thank you for taking the time to join us this year and sharing your ideas with us. I am truly honored to serve as your State Assemblyman.

Sincerely,

Scott Wilk - 2016 - KHTS Sacramento Road Trip
