What Happened To Real Vintage?

Vintage styles have always been an authentic, chic, and fashionable style that not anyone can pull off. It takes courage, confidence and a real eye to be able to go vintage and look absolutely stunning. However, over the past few years vintage has been emerging a lot less and the demand for it has been low. The question is what happened to real vintage?

Vintage Has Become More Difficult to Find

Fashion trends make a huge difference when it comes to accessibility. The more a trend is in the spotlight, the easier it is to find as it’s always on people’s minds. With the fashion industry always coming up with new ideas and new trends, the best thing about vintage is that it never goes out of style. But it does make it more difficult to find as retailers focus on seasonal trends. However, certain vintage items never go out of style. You’ll find these vintage options bring back so many memories and will always make you look unique. Whether it’s by a brand focusing on bringing back its heritage and timeless pieces, or wearing your grandparent’s old clothes, you’ll definitely turn a few heads in the process.

Too Many Other Options

With the fashion industry releasing new hits every season, there’s a wave of new designs that leave many people focusing on what’s new. Trying to stay on top of the latest trends and falling in love with the latest releases has made vintage fashion take a back seat from the spotlight. However, this doesn’t mean that it’s any less appealing, on the contrary, most people just tend to forget to think about it as it’s not right before their eyes. With so many options being released, being flooded with images of new, unique options makes it difficult to remember the awesomeness of real vintage and how authentic, elegant, and cool it always has been. While fashion should be about choosing your style and making a statement with your look, many people tend to follow the crowd and what’s in instead.

Vintage is Bold

While most vintage designs are timeless classics that will always find a way to be totally striking, it requires a strong persona to be able to pull it off. However, there are many different types of vintage attire and sometimes vintage can find its way into streetwear with its oversized cuts, relaxed look, and boldness that shows that this person knows how to dress. These looks tend to come back every few seasons and focus on variations of the original vintage attire that is irreplaceable. Whether you’re going for the famous vintage color block or loose, baggy denim style, you’ll always find a way to make it feel just right but will state the obvious: your boldness.

Expensive

If you’ve ever been to a thrift store in search of real vintage options, you’ll know that it comes with a hefty price tag. Finding unique attire that is one of a kind and shows impeccable taste, style, and an undeniable boldness will cost you an arm and a leg, even if it is second-hand. That’s why real vintage is not always easy to come across. However, some accessories are totally worth it as they add that vintage touch to any outfit, making you come up with a new style and creating your own look that works with pretty much anything.

Modern Vintage

Over the years, many brands have focused on bringing back the vintage style with its colors, most important elements, unique style, and most importantly fabrics. While it allows many more people to have access and be able to afford vintage attire, it does sometimes come with a twist. Whether it’s a change in a single element, fabric or adding a modern twist to it, it’s not always real vintage, but a modern approach to vintage instead. However, there are still brands that have been operating for decades and choose to release their best-selling options as is to ensure that their vintage collection is just that: real vintage. According to the style, you’ll be able to find different brands that value the real vintage and refrain from ruining it with a modern touch.

Real vintage isn’t as easy to find as it used to be, but its popularity remains the same. There’s something about a vintage look that makes a person stand out, turn heads, and look extremely trendy. Whether you’re opting for evening wear, streetwear, or just a casual look, you’ll always find that real vintage is timeless and suits the occasion perfectly.
