A Tribute To David Bowie – January 11, 2016

It is with a heavy heart that Dr. Polucki opens the show paying tribute to the late great David Bowie, who succumbed to cancer after an 18-month battle on Sunday, January 10, 2016. Dr. Polucki makes it a point to again stress to listeners that some 80% of cancers can be avoided by living as healthy as possible. In this case, living as healthy as possible means to keep yourself from ingesting or exposing your body to as many toxins as possible.

In the first segment, Dr. Polucki gives several steps for listeners to take to deny dangerous toxins from entering the body and what we can do or eat instead, identifying common misconceptions.

“Saturated fats are the best kind of fats … they protect the brain, they protect the heart, they protect the nervous system.” – Doctor Thomas Polucki

In the second segment, Dr. Polucki welcomes back healthy living expert Darryl Bosshardt to the Doctor Polucki Family Health Hour to discuss the importance of using safe tooth paste and what you should and shouldn’t be putting into your mouth.

Darryl Bosshardt grew up in the family mineral business, and that is where he learned about brushing his teeth with a combination of clay powder and salt powder (a combo brought to him by his father) and is known as Earth Paste.

“When people first see Earth Paste the first thought is ‘hey, this looks like mud’.” – Darryl Bosshardt

“Our minds are trained to think that foaming means cleaning … it is just a marketing ploy that has been in tooth paste for years and years.” – Darryl Bosshardt

Darryl makes a very important point about the foaming agent used in typical tooth pastes, SLS, which many people are allergic to and can create micro abrasions in the mouth that painful canker sores are formed out of.
