On this episode of The Action Drug Rehab Hour, host Cary Quashen brings guests – Ryan, Patrick, Julianne and Geri to talk about the new beginnings of their sobriety journey.
Starting off the show, Cary speaks with Ryan Davis who opens about his relationship with substance abuse and how, at the time, obtaining drugs was the only thought that consumed his mind. He describes his experience by stating he had to, “stay alive and dead at the same time”. Next, Patrick talks about his past struggles shifting in and out of 30 residential treatment centers and the substances he took while seeing his girlfriend. He says the main lessons he needs going forward are to learn to forgive himself and listen to direction from others.
At the Second half, listeners are introduced to Julianne, whose story with alcoholism began at age 9 and meth at age 15. She has been sober for 11 days and gives a poignant message to both listeners as well as her husband and daughters about starting over today. Lastly, listeners are introduced to Geri, 42, who proves that it’s never too late on your journey to start on the right path.
Finally, all the guests wrap up the show by providing one key message they want every listener to take away from their stories.
