Eye On The Valley –Gliding and Grilling– April 21, 2023
On today’s episode of Eye on the Valley, host Matt Watson welcomes Ally Benedetti, 8th grade facilitator for iLead schools, and her bright students – Solomon and Everett.
Solomon and Everett go into detail about their upcoming project which involves piloting glider aircrafts. The project is unlike anything offered at any other schools and gives students a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn about aviation at an early age. The curriculum covers all subjects from Science all the way to History and proves how iLead, its students, and its facilitators are trailblazing project-based learning.

Matt wraps up the first half of the show by bringing on Lisa Hooper, Co-Head coach for COC Women’s Volleyball, to talk about an exciting summer volleyball camp for children ages 8 – 14. Lisa discusses what the program has to offer and how it will help shape the future athletes of tomorrow.

On the second half, Eye on the Valley introduces Greg Amsler, owner of Salt Creek Grille, to talk about his business history and what Salt Creek Grille has to offer SCV residents. Matt and Greg discuss topics such as what Salt Creek did as a business during the pandemic and even what Greg’s own personal favorite dish is.

Lastly, Greg, Matt, and producer Andrew wrap up the show in the usual fashion – having Big T host his trivia. Topics range from 70s music and sports, all the way to American history.
