Rick & Tori welcome Ingrid Boydston, Director of the upcoming “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”

The Canyon Theatre Guild is proud to present Santa Clarita Regional Theatre’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at College of the Canyons!

One of the most enduring shows of all time, Joseph is a reimagining of the Biblical story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers and the coat of many colors. Told entirely through song with the help of a main character Narrator, the musical follows preferred son Joseph. After being sold into slavery by his brothers, he ingratiates himself with Egyptian noble Potiphar, but ends up in jail after refusing the amorous advances of Potiphar’s wife. While imprisoned, Joseph discovers his ability to interpret dreams, and he soon finds himself in front of the mighty but troubled, Elvis-inspired, Pharaoh. Joseph’s solution to Egypt’s famine elevates him to Pharaoh’s right-hand man and reunites him with his family.

Rick & Tori welcome former professional boxer George Foreman

George Foreman is a former professional boxer who competed from 1969 to 1977, and from 1987 to 1997. Nicknamed “Big George”, he is a two-time world heavyweight champion and an Olympic gold medalist. Outside the sport he is an ordained minister, author, and entrepreneur.

Rick welcomes George Foreman to the show and discusses his fights with Joe Frazier and Muhammed Ali and asks about the current state of boxing.

“I enjoy watching boxing today.” Foreman said. “They have become grounded and recaptured skills I thought have disappeared. They bob and they weave and they make you miss…Boxers these days can be compared to anyone, anytime in the world. The are very good boxers, I love watching boxing matches today.”
