Deputies are investigating a possible shooting with a pellet or BB Gun that occurred near the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses in Newhall Friday afternoon, officials said.

Around 3:15 p.m. deputies received reports of shots being fired at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahs Witnesses on the 25000 block of Newhall Avenue in Newhall, said Sgt. Gooseberry with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. 

“Reports were that someone was shooting at the church,” Gooseberry said.  

As a result of the call multiple deputies and a helicopter responded to the scene, according to officials. 

Initial reports were that it was a person with a BB gun or pellet gun, according to Shirley Miller, spokesperson for the station. 

No injuries were reported, according to officials.
