Senior Hour – Activities At The Paseo Club And Reducing Risk For Seniors – September 21, 2022
On this episode of The Senior Hour, Barbara Cochran is joined by special guests, General Manager Jennifer Azevedo, and Fitness Director Cezanne Youmazzo from the Paseo Club. Jennifer is also a tennis and pickleball instructor at the club, allowing her a chance to meet and teach members of the club new and fun ways to stay active and fit.
They also discuss how liquid cardio (pool aerobics) has been a popular activity among seniors at the Paseo Club.
“It’s great for all ages, but tremendously beneficial for seniors. We also offer tennis lessons for seniors, pickleball, and pilates,” Jennifer said. “We also have functional mobility classes for seniors, and that really is helpful for their nervous system.”
Later, Miles McNamara from Comfort Keepers joins the show and discusses the focus that Comfort Keepers places on being proactive regarding the health of its seniors. He adds that slips and falls are avoidable and talks between adult children and seniors are necessary in order to avoid these incidents.
Listen in as Barbara and Dr. Dorio discuss the benefits of seniors staying physically active with Jennifer, Cezanne, and staying ahead of the curve when it comes to keeping seniors safe with Miles on this edition of The Senior Hour!
