The Senior Hour – April 13, 2016
Today on the Senior Hour, Dr. Dorio and Barbara are highlighting the Sierra Pelona Valley Wine Festival which is working as benefit for the SCV Senior Center. Almost 1,000 people are expected in attendance with local artisans, live music, gourmet food and, of course, lovely wine. There will even be some tequila tasting. Reyes Winery has 16 acres, growing many reds. Beth, the representative of Reyes Winery, has 24 years of experience and gives great insight into what goes on at a winery.
This year, the Festival is hoping to raise enough money for the Senior Center to purchase a new bus. Come out to the Wine Festival and help your local seniors.
“This festival is so important to our Senior Center, and we appreciate so much how Robert is giving the proceeds from this event to our Senior Center.” – Judy Penman
In the second segment, recurrent guest Kim Wahl is on to discuss the GMO world we live in and how to avoid poisonous goods and foods.
