On this episode of Starting Over with Patti Handy, special guest Alex Urbina of The Alex Urbina Show joins Patti to discuss the importance of self-love and ways you can find self-care in the world around you. Patti and Alex discuss the importance of connecting with others, and how important it is to have someone you can share your life with. Whether that is a significant other, close friend, counselor, or Life Coach, it is important to have a person in your life that you can share your experiences with.
In addition to finding someone to share yourself with, it is important to find sources of self-love in your life so that not all of your connection comes from one person. Alex discusses the importance of not “putting all your eggs in one basket” and figuring out how to help you love yourself.

Many years ago, Patti went through a devastating divorce that completely rocked her world. She was blindsided (although after looking back, she saw the signs, but ignored them) and she was an emotional wreck. Her son was only 18 months old.
The sense of fear, sadness, devastation and confusion was truly beyond her comprehension. At times, she felt as if she couldn’t breathe.
Amazingly, in the midst of this madness, she had a sense of peace, knowing she could take care of herself financially. She knew how to make, manage and invest money. She knew then that she and her son were going to be fine. She also had an amazing support system with family and friends who held her up when she couldn’t hold herself up.
