The Real Estate Fix With Rich Szerman

On today’s show, your host and real estate expert Rich Szerman talks  about his office offering a Rental Rebate Program where potential homeowners can qualify for a 10 percent rebate of the rent number they’ve paid.  He says the free money can be used for closing costs or remodeling projects.  This 25 year old program is funded by realtors and lenders pitching in their commission dollars. The current market numbers that show it is still a seller’s market with interest rates still in the mid 7 percent.  The market is starting to soften but it’s a slow pace as people are waiting for the interest rates to drop, leaving fewer buyers interested.  Bankruptcies also rose 16 percent and homes appreciated over 30 percent in the past handful of years.
