Giving Groceries Gives More Than Just Food — August 5, 2020

On this episode of The Senior Hour with Dr. Gene Dorio and Barbara Cochran, Bradley Grose, Owner & Operator of Santa Clarita Grocery, and Jill Carr, Head of Communications for Santa Clarita Grocery, joins the show. Giving groceries gives more than just food, and for so many people this service is an invaluable way for them to take care of their families and literally keep food on the table. Bradley and Jill have seen so much growth in such a short amount of time with people across the valley and country encountering tough times due to Covid-19. Santa Clarita Grocery helps people who are food insecure not have to worry about where their next meal is coming from.

Later in the show, Nola Aronson, M.A., CCC-A, of Advanced Audioogy joins the show to talk about the importance of taking care of your hearing. Nola talks about how the implementation of masks has led to a number of people realizing they have been reading lips to get by in conversations. This can take place subconciously which is why some people may not realize they are doing it. Hearing aids have been able to help these people regain their ability to hear and their quality of life.
