Purpose and Motivation — June 19, 2019

On this episode of The Senior Hour with Dr. Gene Dorio and Barbara Cochran, Kathryn Robinson, Health & Personal Wellness Coach, talks about how motivating a senior to get them through the day revolves around each senior having a purpose to wake up and get going. Setting, having and reaching goals is something everyone aspires to do in their life, and for seniors it is no different. Barbara talks about how she experiences this feeling on some days, and how her cat, Ginger, gives her a purpose and motivates her to get up each day. Barbara talks about how she has great purpose in taking care of Ginger, and how important it is to her daily purpose and motivation. After the break, Myles McNamara, Owner and President of Comfort Keepers In-Home Care of Santa Clarita, joins the show to talk about the continuously changing landscape that is senior care. Myles and Dr. Dorio have been working with seniors for a longtime, and the two of them talk about the benefits of what in-home care provides versus other forms of senior care.
