Flood Anniversary This Week

On March 13, 1926, one of the most advanced technological civil engineering feats at the time, the Saint Francis Dam, collapsed….

Located in what is now San Francisquito Canyon, the dam’s collapse caused 12 billion gallons of water to rush into the canyon, killing over 400 people.  Tours were conducted this past weekend to remember the lost and to learn about one of the many fascinating, evolutionary aspects of the Santa Clarita Valley.
