Keeping the City Strong Economically

After casting a wide net to staff the vacant post of marketing and economic development manager, the city of Santa Clarita announced Friday it has filled the slot with the economic development project manager for the city of Palmdale.

Carrie L. Rogers, who was offered the post Wednesday, was singled out from a field of 25 applicants. She will occupy the office beginning Oct. 11.
“I’m thrilled with the opportunity,” Rogers said. “I can’t wait to work for the city. In the economic development field, this is a rare opportunity. I’m honored and excited.”
